Dublin Digital Radio

Dublin Digital Radio is a thriving community of broadcasters from all walks of life who have built up a station and a studio and a community from scratch in a very tough environment for the arts in Dublin. DDR is a vital entity that allows networks of DJs and collectives to coalesce around a shared creative vision that pushes underground music during tough times in our city. In 2018 it won both the Judges Award and the Listener’s Choice Award for Europe’s Best Online Radio Station at the Mixcloud Online Radio Awards.

As well as holding down a monthly show on the station, I’ve worked with them on how to leverage their social media into fundraising opportunities through the Patreon platform, and most recently by launching a dedicated Kickstarter style campaign to raise 15k for a new studio move. The video I put together for this campaign had 14k views in little over 24 hours on Twitter. 1.6k views on Instagram. And 2.4k views on Facebook.
